Don't be chicken - GET ON STAGE !!!!!!  The Loony Bin Comedy club holds an open mic show before the pros take the stage every Wednesday night of every month, excluding special events.  Each participant must sign up in person between 6:45 and 7:15; however, anyone coming in from out of town can call (405) 239-HAHA to make special arrangements with Terri Libby.

In order to maintain an appropriate time span for the evening's festivities, there is a limit of eight available open mic slots.  Once the number of participants exceeds eight, there will be a drawing to determine who will perform that night.  Anyone who has signed up, but is not one of the eight names drawn will be guaranteed one of the eight available slots the next open mic night.  Each performer is allotted five minutes to perform clean material.  When a flashlight is shone in the performer's direction, that is the signal that there is one minute remaining and the current bit should be the last bit performed.

The Loony Bin Comedy Club believes in supporting local and amateur comedy.   In fact, it's not uncommon for an MC position to be filled by an open mic participant who has progressed to a more professional level.  We invite you to use our stage as often as possible as a place to have some fun, hone your craft, and possibly find your calling.  Family, friends, coworkers, and classmates are fantastic support so be sure to make them aware once you've decided to participate in an open mic night at The Loony Bin.  You never know if you don't try - come on out and give it a shot!!!!!
